Cost Analysis

Wood products have come down from their all-time highs a couple of years ago, but are still higher than before the drastic price increases. The table below represents the price comparison between typical 2×6 wood construction and Omni Block for a 3500 SF single story single family residence in November 2023.

In August 2021 an architect / custom builder conducted a detailed line item cost analysis comparing 2×6 wood frame with stucco over foam board with batt insulation and 1/2″ drywall (R-23.45 center-of-cavity, R-21.81 total wall) versus Omni Block System 8 (R-19.6 total wall). The analysis revealed a $47,500 total construction savings when using 8″ Omni Block.
